Math for Early Childhood

Develop an activity that will teach one of the PA Math Standards.

Use manipulatives or another form of hands-on learning to reinforce the concept.  You can assume that underlying concepts have been learned, and that this is independent practice, guided practice, or reteaching.

You will be scored on the following checklist:

For 4 points each

C       Length (approx. 10 mins.)

C       Materials (appropriate, creative, child-friendly)

C       Standard (correct use of standard)

C       Age  and educational appropriateness

C       Creativity and Presentation (enthusiasm, interest, preparation)
