CANDIDACY REQUIREMENTS (Application for Candidacy)


Course Requirements
  1. Completion of 45 credit hours (Check with your Advisor about applying BEFORE you complete 45 credits)
  2. Overall GPA 3.0
  3. C- or better in English Composition
  4. C- or better in English Literature
  5. C- or better in 6 credits of Math (Math 101 or higher)
Completion of Other Requirements
  1. Completion of the Diversity Profile Plan
  2. LHUP Disposition Self-Evaluation (in LiveText)
  3. Passing Scores on Praxis One Series Tests (Reading, Writing, Math)
  4. Completion of Technology Self-Assessments (in LiveText)
  5. Completion of Student Works Consent Form
  6. Attendance at Teacher Education Freshman Orientation Meetings or completion of Freshman Education Seminar
