A Diversity Essay will be written using the Directions, Guidelines,
and Rubric in
your Developing Portfolio.
- 60 Field Experience Hours - The 60 hours
must meet all of the following specifications:
- 16 hours
in regular education from Intro to Elementary Ed – EDUC105
- 10 hours in regular
education from the Elementary School – EDUC204
- 4 hours in regular ed
from Child Lit – EDUC202
- 10 hours from Intro
to Exceptionalities – SPEC105
- 20 hours in a learning
environment
NOTE: Field Experience and Diversity Hours take place in grade levels K-6. At a minimum, the student should observe at least 10 hours in K-2; 10 hours in 3-4; and 10 hours in 5-6.
