Dr. Terrence J. Roberts Keynote Speaker
at Upcoming LHUP Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Lock Haven University of
Pennsylvania will commemorate Martin Luther King,
Jr. Day with a ceremony to be held at 1:00 p.m. on
Wednesday, January 21 in the Price Performance
Center located on the University campus. The public
is invited to attend this free event.
Dr.
Terrence J. Roberts, Ph.D. will present the keynote
speech. A 15-year old eleventh grader when he
joined eight other students and became one of the
first nine black students to go to a formerly
segregated public high school in Little Rock,
Arkansas, Roberts is now co-chairperson of the
Master’s in Psychology Program at Antioch
University. A graduate of California State
University at Los Angeles and UCLA, Roberts also
obtained his Ph.D. in Psychology from Southern
Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois.
A
much sought after speaker, Roberts also heads a
management consultant group dedicated to improving
human relations in the workplace. Since 1998, he
has been the official desegregation consultant for
the Little Rock, Arkansas School District, and
provides similar services to school districts across
the nation.
