Perennial Projects

                       

            Paving Repairs ($50,000)

Paving repairs to parking lot and road surfaces to maintain them in good condition.  Also includes new paving projects for small areas.

 

            Concrete Repairs ($50,000)

                        Repairs to concrete infrastructure as required for safety and ADA. 

 

            Vehicle ($80,000)

Life cycle replacement of various vehicles dependent on age and condition.  Includes Maintenance vehicles but not vehicles assigned to other departments.

 

Educational and General

 

            Thomas Field House – Replace Generator Switch Gear ($50,000)

Life cycle replacement of older, out of date equipment.  Will also support the installation of A/C in the complete building.

 

            Replace Rooftop A/C – Thomas Field House ($300,000)

Install central A/C for complete building.  Will address the needs for graduation and summer programs.

 

            Akeley Storage Area Renovation ($75,000)

Improvement in a dirt storage area to make it more useful.  Will include some excavation to make the area larger.

 

            Main Switch Gear Replacement ($1,000,000)

Life cycle replacement of the main switch gear and five sub units that serve the entire university.  Located behind Bentley Hall.

 

            Russell Hall Entry Driveway ($480,000)

Installation of a curved brick driveway in front of Russell Hall.  Final project to turn Russell in the Old Main of the campus.

 

            Renovate Concession Stand – Jack Stadium ($25,000)

Improvement and repairs to make the area more attractive to the public and useful by the various organizations using it.

 

            Zimmerli Swimming Pool Renovations – Phase II ($100,000)

Lighting changes and rework of the dehumidifier system to make it more reliable.

 

            South Ulmer Renovation – Programming Study ($65,000)

Cost and scope study for the renovation of South Ulmer Hall.  Study will be used to support a capital project for design and construction by DGS.

           

            KCSD Bldgs 12 KV Power Supply – Energy ($200,000)

A cost savings project to reduce the cost to this all electric building.  Elimination of the PP & L transformer by installation of our own will reduce electric delivery rates.

 

Russell Hall Renovation – 2nd and 3rd Floors ($1,000,000)

Completion of the changeover of Russell Hall from a dormitory to offices.  Work will be similar to that done previously.  Funded by the Foundation.

 

            New Flag Pole Cluster – Russell Hall ($25,000)

Installation of a 3 flag pole cluster similar to that installed in Clearfield.  Will be located in the center of the new driveway.

 

 

            Replace Akeley Boilers – Energy ($50,000)

Replace of oversized boilers that are inefficient to run.  Energy savings Project.

 

            Price HVAC Renovation ($200,000)

Life cycle replacement of HVAC compressors and coolers.  Will also provide some energy savings.

 

            All Building on Central Gas Meter ($300,000)

A cost savings move to gain pricing advantages offered by single accounts with gas suppliers.

 

            Hursh-Nevel Renovation ($50,000)

Anticipated renovation of this structure for new uses.  This will result is and when the Maintenance department moves to the KCSD facilities under consideration for purchase.

 

            Campus Village 12 kv Power Supply – Energy ($200,000)

A cost savings project to reduce the cost to this all electric building.  Elimination for the PP & L transformer by installation of our own will reduce electric delivery rates.

 

            Sloan Theatre – Upgrade Lighting ($175,000)

Life Cycle upgrade to new technology of existing lighting.  Will enhance theatre usage.

 

            RLC – TV Studio – Replace Curtains ($25,000)

            Life Cycle replacement.  Curtains are old and in poor condition.

 

            Sloan Theatre – Replace Fire Curtains ($25,000)

                        Life cycle replacement.  Curtains are old and in poor condition.

 

            Library Compressor Soundproofing ($75,000)

 

            Brick Pavers at Akeley and Rogers ($60,000)

 

            Stairs to Silk Mill Lot ($75,000) (CANCELLED)

 

            Convert Horticultural Bldg to Pottery Lab ($200,000) (HOLD)

 

            Novar Upgrades ($30,000)

 

            Stevenson Library Children’s Library ($25,000)

 

 

 

 

Auxiliary

 

            High Hall Renovation, Fire Alarms and Sprinklers ($412,000)

Installation of Board of Governors mandated sprinklers and fire alarms.  Year 5 of a 5 year plan.
