About Your Financial Aid Award Letter

The Student Financial Services Office is pleased to provide the following information about the Financial Aid Award Letter. Please review this information thoroughly. If you have questions about financial aid at this or anytime, please contact us. The office is located in Room 123, Russell Hall and is open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. weekdays. New Students:

Please thoroughly review the SFS Financial Planner. In the Financial Planner, you will find the following and more: information about various financial aid awards; information regarding the Federal Direct Stafford Loan program; information regarding the Federal Direct Parent PLUS Loan program information regarding Alternative Loan programs, including a sample list of available loan products; information regarding billing, including invoice due dates, refund calculation table, and payment plan information; and information regarding satisfactory academic progress and its affect on your future financial aid eligibility.

Award Revisions

The financial aid award made by your award letter is valid to the extent that the information upon which it is based is accurate at the time of the award and remains accurate throughout the award period. Revisions may be necessary due to changes in funds made available to the University by governmental or other sources or due to any other circumstances, including errors in the award itself, in order to prevent overawards and to maintain the integrity of the financial aid programs according to governing laws and regulations. Lock Haven University does not guarantee substitution of funds for any portion of the award which is declined by the student or reduced by government agencies.
