Top 10 Financial Aid & Billing
Tips for Incoming Freshmen
-
Student
Financial Services (SFS)
begins sending financial aid
award letters to incoming
freshmen at the end of
March. In order to receive
an award letter, you must be
accepted to LHU and you must
have filed a complete,
signed FAFSA that lists LHU
as one of the colleges to
receive your FAFSA
information.
-
If you do not
receive an award letter from
SFS by mid-April, please
check to make sure your
FAFSA is complete. You may
check your FASFA status at
www.fafsa.ed.gov.
Note: Was
your FASFA selected for
federal verification
review? Information about
Verification can be found
under ‘Financial Aid” at
www.lhup.edu/financial-services.
Any student selected for
verification will receive a
request for required
documents from SFS. No
financial aid will be
finalized or disbursed until
the verification review is
complete.
-
When calling
SFS, it is very important to
listen carefully to the menu
options. If you need to
speak to a customer service
representative, please
follow the instructions
provided. Many answers to
your questions can be found
online at:
www.lhup.edu/financial-services.
Our FAQ (frequently-asked
questions) page is a good place
to start.
-

Students may
pay their bills online using
MasterCard, Discover, or
electronic 'eCheck'. To do
so, look for the ‘Pay Your
Student Bill Online’ link
under ‘Billing/Payment’ at
www.lhup.edu/financial-services.
-
LHU

struggle; therefore, we
offer a third party payment
plan through Tuition
Management Systems.
Information about this plan
is available online at
www.afford.com/lhup.
-
It is highly
recommended that students
come to school each term
with money to buy books,
which cost on average
$400-$550 per semester.
-
Making
Satisfactory Academic
Progress (SAP) is critical
to remaining eligible for
