Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity was founded at Yale University in 1845 and organized as a corporation under the laws of the estate of New York. Since that time the purposes of Alpha Sigma Phi have been to encourage culture and scholarship; assist in the building of character; promote college loyalties; perpetuate friendship; cement social ties; develop true brotherhood; within its membership; and foster the maintenance of college homes by chapters for their undergraduate members.
The Delta Nu Chapter of Alpha Sigma Phi was established on November 21, 1987. Alpha Sigma Phi works especially hard on the development of chapter unity through its involvement in community and campus service projects and fund-raisers for philanthropic organizations.
