A good audience in Thomas Field House

Carolyn demonstrates static electricity with the help of some kids from the audience. She rubs balloons and shows how they stick to the kids.

Ryan moves a soda can by charging a PVC pipe - rubbing it with fur.

Reuben and Dr. Reid toss the center-of-mass back and forth.

DJ - Our host with the most bad puns.

Shawns shows how strong an egg is my havnig Dr. Reid stand on a platform supported only by the egg. (The last photo is from practice.)

Joe shows how stron a piece of paper can be when cleverly used. First he lifts about 80lbs with one sheet of paper. Then he has John stand on paper.

Shawn does a great

DJ shows us climbing sparks with his Jacob's ladder.

Ryan and Elliot have some kids lift their parents off the ground with a long lever.

Marian shows how induced eddy currents make non-ferromagnetic objects display magnetic behavior.

Reuben shows how a simple flat plate shows interesting pattern when made to vibrate at certain (resonate) frequencies.

Ryan and Reuben show resonance using long spring. They wiggle it until they wiggle it at just the right rate, and then the spring shows interesting patterns.

John shows how different length pieces of metal will vibrate one at a time when shaken. He used a wobbly drill the shake them.

Elliot talks about circular motion and swings a glass of water upside down without spillng a drop.

Shawn gets out his famous trebuchet and launches a tennis ball across the gym.

Elliot shows the odd behavior of a rotating wheel when a torque is applied.

Here you can see the pick up truck we used to haul all the stuff from Ulmer over to Thomas Field House. Reuben drove and didn't damage any equipment or lose a single person.
