                      PHESTIVAL of PHYSICS   

On Sunday 28-Oct-01, 2001 at 4 PM the PHYSICS CLUB at 
Lock Haven University will be holding a physics demonstration show 
in the Ulmer Planetarium.  The show will include bangs and whistles, 
crashes and smashes, sprokets and rockets and much much more 
including audience participation.  The show is for kids of all ages.  
It promises to be fun and you might learn something, too. The show 
is free  and open to the public.

					4 beakers.  Kick pan out with broom handle.  Eggs
					fall into beaker.
pen and loop			ab	Pen rests on embrodery hoop on bottle.  Remove hoop
					and pen drops into bottle.

					air turns liquid, expands as it heats up)

					with N2.  When fullyl expanded container leaks at seams 
					rather than shattering.

hot air balloon			bh, jr	tussue balloon sent aloft with bunsen burner and heat gun
convection w/ colored water	ab,to		Aquarium w/ water.  Add blue cold water and hot
					warm water - convection.  Put white paper on back of 
					aquarium. Used low light, spotlight.  Problem - water
					dumped in and resulted in mixing rather than layering.
					Need to be practiced.
