Students applying for the Masters Program with a high GPA are eligible to recieve tuition for the Masters Program.
Students can transfer up to 6 credit hours of 400 level physics courses (with a grade of "B" or higher) taken at Lock Haven to be applied towards graduate credit at Penn State. (If credits are appliled to the Penn State graduate program, they cannot be applied towards the Lock Haven degree.)
Students can transfer up to 3 credit hours of summer independent study done at the Penn State Engineering Science & Mechanics Department. Stipends are available for the summer research.
Students with a GPA above 3.4 are considered favorably for a graduate assistantship. Students with a GPA above 3.0, and who carry out summer research at the Penn State Engineering Science & Mechanics Department, will also be considered favorably for an assistantship.
