The Physics Program at Lock Haven University is proud to announce our first Bridge Building Contest.
The competition encourages high school students to demonstrate their understanding of scientific and
engineering principles and exercise their practical skills in forming mechanical structures, bridges in particular.
The participation of your students in the bridge competition can be organized in 3 phases:

The first phase is identifying the interest and establishing a contact with us, so that we know where to send materials.

The second phase is to organize your students in teams and to exercise and practically build a bridge per team. This phase takes place at your
school.

The third and final phase is the actual testing of the bridges, which will take place on the campus of Lock Haven
University on the date of the competition.

We invite high school students from the following counties Clinton, Lycoming, Centre, Clearfield and Union to particiapate in the contest.
