Trip to Falling Water for Engineering Statics (PHYS330) Spring 2005

This is a home built by Frank Loyd Wright for the famous Kaufman family of the department store fame. Falling Water is southeast of Pittsburgh and southwest of Johnstown. About a 3.5 hour drive for us.

Centilever was the word for the day. We had a great time on the tour. We asked all kinds of questions of the guide about the engineering features. After the tour we looked around a bit and explored and commented on various aspects of the design.
