Visit to University of Maryland - Spring 2003

People on trip:
Faculty: John Reid, Jim Wheeler
Students: Ray Rutkowski, Tim Corcoran, Leslie Quist-Adinyira, Dan Tomcavage, Taneisha Greer, Angel Garrett-Robinson, Izana Haile

We visited Evandro Valente, a student in our 3-2 Cooperative Engineering Program. He is finishing up is BS in Aerospace Engineering this spring. He is continuing at UMD in a PhD program.

Evandro showed us the wind tunnel facilities. We spent several hours climbing around, looking at things asking questions and listening to his explanation. We also saw his test plane he is designing. We also met up with Paul Chipoco, also a 3-2 student. He joined us for the tour.

After the UMD tour we spent a couple of hours in DC at the Aerospace Museum. It was a loooong and tiring visit. We drove down Friday and back on Saturday. The weather was rainy and foggy driving down and back. Well worth the trip.
