About the Program:

The Master of Liberal Arts degree program is an interdisciplinary graduate program for the intellectually curious student whose baccalaureate education is completed. Consisting of online, blended, and face-to-face classes, this course of study is usually completed within two or two and a half years. It is possible to complete the MLA program without residence in Lock Haven.

The Master of Liberal Arts program is designed for students who wish to study the liberal arts in depth. Whatever your goal; a way to get ahead in your career, energize your professional aspirations, chart your own course, or discover more about yourself, you can do it through the Masters of Liberal Arts program.

Choose your intellectual theme and design an individualized course of study within the arts and sciences. You will learn multiple approaches to exploring an area of interest. You will also develop skills and knowledge that let you appreciate issues from multiple perspectives. The program will enhance a student’s ability to analyze, synthesize, and appreciate a broad spectrum of knowledge drawn from a variety of disciplines.
