Alpha Chi Rho (???) is a men's collegiate fraternity founded on June 4, 1895 at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut by the Reverend Paul Ziegler. Our fraternity boasts 37 active Chapters, five active colonies, and two interest groups. The Fraternity provides many services to its undergraduates and alumni. Scholarships, loans, and grants are available through the Alpha Chi Rho Educational Foundation. Social events for alumni are run throughout the year around the country such as area and national conventions. There are many famous brothers including senators, governors, professional athletes, Fortune 500 company leaders, and many others.
Our chapter at Lock Haven University was chartered May 15th, 1983. We pride ourselves on our Landmarks and our Mission. Our Mission is: Alpha Chi Rho is a national men's collegiate fraternity whose purpose is to enhance the lifelong intellectual, moral, and social development of our members through the guidance of our Landmarks. We are a big part of the expanding of Greek life along with the other Greek organizations here at LHU.
We are very much an active part of our community. We do highway cleanup, Santa Comes to Lock Haven, Special Olympics: Floor Hockey, as well as many others during each semester. We just recently started having an annual golf tournament as well as providing graduation t-shirts to all graduating seniors each semester. We participate in Greek Week every year along with all other Greek organizations.
