What are Sororities?

A Sorority is an organization whose members have chosen to establish a close affiliation and friendship with each other. It is a life experience that is shared with thousands of individuals across the nation and the world. Membership provides an enhancement to the university experience and an opportunity for leadership development and career preparation.

Every chapter encourages and expects above average scholarship and expects participation in varied activities, which offer unlimited and valuable experiences. Service to the community is also encouraged with thousands of dollars being donated each year to local and national philanthropies.

The Greek membership aims toward a full and well-rounded university life. Of course the decision to join a Sorority is up to the individual. The Pan-Hellenic Council suggests that individuals who may be undecided about Greek membership should consider participating in Rush before making that decision
