Athletic Training and Sports Participation

It is possible for students to pursue the Health Science/Athletic Training major and participate in intercollegiate athletics. However, both of these pursuits are very time intensive and often conflict with one another. It is the policy of the Athletic Training Education Program to make every effort for students to be able to participate in extracurricular activities as long as the activity does not lessen the quality of the student athletic training experience. In many cases the student that wishes to pursue both will be required to stay an extra semester or year.
