Meet Lisa Riede
Professional interests and activities: Director of forensics team on campus. The forensics team competes in public address, limited preparation, oral interpretation, and debate events on an intercollegiate level. My research interests also include character education in secondary schools and communication ethics. SPCH303 Argumentation and Debate: Argumentation and debate is designed to improve analytical skills in construction of arguments, the debating skills of defending those arguments, and to develop the critical listening skills needed to analyze and evaluate the arguments of others. Personal interests and activities: Aside from teaching, directing the forensics team, and working on research for my terminal degree from Penn State, I find my time enjoying my family and friends. I enjoy playing games, role-playing, acting in theatrical productions, singing karaoke, and enjoying the outdoors, whether ice-skating or sand volleyball. |
