Biography:

After leaving Lock Haven University, I moved to the Eastern Shore of Maryland to teach in the Caroline County Schools in a tiny little place called Federalsburg. After two years teaching second grade there, I moved to Columbia, Maryland and got a job teaching third grade in Baltimore County. After my first year there, I was able to transfer into a kindergarten position. During the four years that I taught in Baltimore County I also earned my Master's Degree from Johns Hopkins University in Early Childhood Special Education. This past June, I resigned from my position teaching. Beginning this fall, I will be enrolled at the University of Maryland in the Human Development Program as a full-time PhD. student and graduate research assistant.

Reflections:

My time in the honors program at Lock Haven University was time well-spent. The small classes and co-curricular activities added challenge to the general curriculum at Lock Haven University. One of the greatest opportunities given to me from this program was the chance to participate in the summer honors program in 1994, traveling to Oxford, England. I know that the program has continued to change and grow since I was there, and I know that it will only continue to get better!
