Biography

Shortly after I graduated from LHU with my BA in Journalism and Mass Communications in December 2002, I've got a job at the Construction Data Corporation Inc. in State College, PA as an associate editor. My duties included contacting different types of subcontractors from New England area in order to find construction projects that are out to bid. Sounds exciting, doesn't it? Even though it was not my dream job, I improved my communication skills and gained some new ones.
My other staple in life happened on December 13, 2003 (good thing it wasn't Friday) - that's when I married my Huckleberry Jeremiah. I never expected myself marrying so early, but love is love.
Right now I'm getting ready for another passage in my life by attending Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, Canada for Masters in International Development Studies. Wish me luck.

Reflections on the Honors Program

I participated in many Honors Program activities: discussion groups, Occasional Word newsletter, conferences in New York and Maryland and on-line talks. I wanted to try as many activities as possible to finally figure out what I want to do in this life (which is still a work in progress). Whether or not you know what you want to do in your life, always try to learn something new.
For the current and future honors students I would like to quote my favorite character, Yoda: Do or do not, there is no try.
If you have questions about how to make it in the LHU journalism program or how to throw a cheap wedding, let me know any time via email.
