Idiot's Guide to Group Reports
Group Reports

*Reports are due by Friday at noon. Please be sure to save a Word Document in case the report gets cut off.

Step 1
: www.lhup.edu/honors

Step 2: Click the “Resources” link on the left side of the page.

Step 3: Click the Group Report link under the Leaders heading

Step 4: Choose between Honors, FYE, Activity Group, or Mock FDGLT Report. Mock Reports will be the only choice for FDGLT Candidates this semester.

Step 5: Complete the form.

Group Leader: Co-leader and your name go here (for first simulation, just your name)

Number of Hours: For FDG’s: should only exceed 1 hour after you’ve informed Hannah and Chris why your group is being held      longer.

Date Group Was Held: Self explanatory, the date you submitted the report will automatically be sent with the report, so only the date you ACTUALLY held your group is necessary.

Group Attendance: In order for your group to get credit you MUST follow the following guidelines for attendance. Always list your freshmen alphabetically by last name [yes, this requires you learning their names], last names should always be in CAPS followed by a comma, first names should always be lower case, and each name should be separated with a semicolon. Your example: HALPERT, Jim; BEESLY, Pam; SCHRUTE, Dwight; SCOTT, Michael; BRATTON, Creed; HOWARD, Ryan; ETC

Goal of this Meeting: This should be a few sentences describing what you hoped prior to the meeting. If things turned out differently than planned, this is your place to explain what your initial hopes were for the meeting. If you play a game include the rules, if you are watching a movie include a short synopsis and why it was chosen or relevant.

Co-Leader Contributions: Whatever your co-leader did to plan and what they did during the activity, please make a note of it here. If you’ve planned every activity all semester, it will be obvious here.

What occurred during this meeting: Remember: Hannah and Chris  are the only ones that will be reading these, unless there is something spectacular we’ll ask if you mind us using your report for the OW. Be as elaborate as possible!!! Explain what it was your group did. Please include any problems that may have arose, or if an activity went extremely well why it went well. Include quotes, reactions, and names if possible. This is where you get to tell Hannah and Chris as confidentially as possible what is happening in your group. They can’t know what’s going on, if you don’t tell them. Even if there is something that a co-leader is doing [or not doing] that you have a problem with and don’t feel comfortable coming to Chris in person, please include the information in your reports.

What did the Freshmen Get Out of This Meeting: This is where you get to tell us ideally how you have benefited the freshmen. Justify your hour to us, they are giving you an hour every meeting that they cannot reclaim, we just want you to know the purpose of why it is you just wasted their time.

(PLEASE KEEP A RUNNING WORD DOCUMENT WITH THIS INFORMATION, IN CASE YOUR REPORT GETS LOST OR CUT OFF. THIS IS TO ASSIST YOUR MEMORY OF WHAT WAS DONE, IF SEVERAL WEEKS LATER THE INFORMATION IS REQUESTED)

 Step 6: CLICK SUBMIT!

Pat yourself on the back, you are done.
