Online Activity Groups
Online writing prompts are a way to receive activity group credit if you are unable to attend an in-person group. These are optional substitutions for activity groups.
Basics of Imaginary Writing (BIW)
-------
Basics of Imaginary Writing is an online group perfect for the busy student! If you don't have time to make it to an Activity Group due to meetings, classes, or sports, you can write up a response to the weekly BIW (Basics of Imaginative Writing.) Every week in the Monday Morning Announcements you will find a link to this page, where you will find prompts with a specification of how long each response must be. The questions are designed to take about an hour to answer, just as any other Activity Groups would meet for an hour. This is the Honors Program, so we expect solid, grammatically correct responses. The BIW is due on Fridays at 12:00 noon each week. If your response fails to meet the required length, your response will not be counted and you will not receive proper credit. Please make sure that you are putting effort into it! Exceptional responses may be published in the Occasional Word, with author's permission. We are looking forward to hearing from you!
To submit a BIW response, copy and paste your responses into the body of an email. DO NOT ATTACH you response; please copy and paste them into the email. Address the email to the current week's leader, and put BIW in the subject line. Responses are due Friday at 12:00 noon.
