BIW Week 8

Basics of Imaginative Writing (BIW) is a group designed to encourage creative responses to writing prompts.  This is the only on-line activity group that does not require attendance, but instead requires you to complete the prompts within a week’s time.  Even though this is an online group, it should still take about an hour to complete.

ATTN: Please submit responses to  cbriggs@lhup.edu   by Friday at 5:00 pm. No late responses will be accepted. Please do NOT attach responses to emails-copy and paste from your document into email format!

Make sure to fully complete all prompts to the best of your ability by the required minimum lengths or your submissions will not be accepted.  Submissions that show significant lack of effort will also not be accepted. (Remember: This is an Honors group- please use correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc.)

Week 8 Questions

1.  Out of all the books you have read, who has been your favorite character? Describe the character and why you are why they are your favorite. (minimum 8 sentences)

2. It's time to test your ability to describe! Pick any object in your room. Take some time to study the object then describe the appearance and function/purpose of the object. The key is to never use the objects name. Be literal but also try and be creative and use some figurative language. I will e-mail you back with my guess at the object. (Don't worry, you won't be punished if I can't figure it out or guess wrong. This is just a creative writing exercise!)

3. Is there a musical instrument that you've always wanted to learn? Which instrument would you choose to learn if you had the means to do so and what is it about that instrument that intrigues you? (4 sentence minimum)
