Academic Honors Scholarship- $1000 Academic Honors Scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis to five sophomores, five juniors and five seniors who have demonstrated superior academic performance and who are in good standing in the Global Honors Program. These are one-year scholarships.

1.      PASSHE Summer Honors Program-  Each year two LHU Global Honors Program students join honors students from the other 14 PASSHE university honors programs to engage in a deep study of the artistic, cultural, historical or political character of another country or region of the world.  Participants take two courses and earn six credits.  The courses begin on the campus of the host university.  After studying the country in question for approximately a week, the participants and their professors travel as a group to the country under investigation in order to continue their study of it on a first hand basis.  Recent programs have focused on diverse countries including Egypt, Belgium, China, and Ghana.  Each participant receives a full scholarship to cover the major costs of this program.  These include tuition, travel, accommodations and meals.

1.      The Washington Center Internship Program-  This program helps students secure significant internship experiences in Washington D.C. while also offering them a range of academic courses whose credits may be transferred back to their home institutions.  Students who apply to the The Washington Center Internship Program are automatically considered for scholarships designed to help cover the costs of this program such as tuition and accommodations.  These scholarships may also be supplemented by additional scholarships from external agencies like the National Collegiate Honors Council.
