Pi
Lambda Phi is one of the newer Fraternity’s here at Lock Haven
University. Despite this, the brotherhood of Pi Lambda Phi is very
strong and dedicated to both the University and the community of Lock
Haven. Brothers are involved in Student Government, University Sports,
as well as various other University clubs and organization. Through Pi
Lambda Phi’s various fundraisers such as the Miss Haven Pageant and
bracelet sale among a few, Pi Lambda Phi raises money to support the
March of Dimes. Pi Lambda Phi prides itself in the fact that it is the
most diverse Fraternity because membership is welcome to any type of
man. If you are thinking of joining a Fraternity here at Lock Haven,
there is a good chance that Pi Lambda Phi will be the best fit for you.Founded at Yale University in 1895, Pi Lambda Phi was the first non-sectarian fraternity in the United States, accepting men of good character without regard to race or religion. Today, Pi Lambda Phi chapters at colleges and universities in the United States and Canada cultivate communities that promote academics, leadership, social skills, and lifelong fraternal bonds. Pi Lambda Phi brothers build skills that will help them succeed in their post-graduate endeavors. Nationally, Pi Lambda Phi has a total of 38 active chapters and colonies at various Universities. Notable alumni include Governor Ed Rendell, Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, Actor Kevin James and Hall of Fame MLB player Sandy Koufax as well as many other outstanding individuals.
