Spring Break Opening and Closing

The residence halls will officially close for the Spring Break Vacation at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 5, 2010. The Glennon Health Service and Library will be closed over the break.

Any resident needing to stay after the above closing date and time will need to speak directly to their Resident Director.

The halls will reopen on Sunday, March 14, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. The dining hall will begin service at the Dinner  meal.

Please remember that when you leave your residence hall you are asked to follow the vacation closing instructions as shown below which appear in the Student Handbook (p.30).  

          1.       Clean your room thoroughly, and leave your possessions in order.

          2.       Discard all perishable food.

          3.       Empty wastebaskets and remove trash.

          4.       Unplug all electrical appliances, including clocks, lamps, etc.

          5.       Close windows.

          6.       Lock your room.

With the exception of Campus Village residents, we ask you to properly defrost and  unplug your personal refrigerator for this vacation. Your Residence Life Staff will be checking all rooms for safety precautions.

PLEASE NOTE THAT NO ONE WILL BE PERMITTED TO ENTER THE RESIDENCE HALLS BEFORE 2:00 P.M., MARCH 14, 2010.
 
 
End of Semester Closing
The Residence Halls at Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania will be closing for the year on May 8th at Noon.  All students must be completely out of their rooms 24 hours after their last final exam.
 

Summer Session I Opening

The Residence Halls at Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania will be opening at 2:00 p.m. on May 16th

 
Summer Session I Closing
The Residence Halls at Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania will be closing for the session on June 18th at 6 p.m.  All students not enrolled to stay in on campus housing for Summer Session II must be completely out of their rooms 24 hours after their last final exam.
 

Summer Session II Opening

The Residence Halls at Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania will be opening at 9:00 a.m. on June 19th for new students and at 3 p.m. on June 20th for returning students.
 

 
Summer Session II Closing
The Residence Halls at Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania will be closing for the year on July 23rd at 6 p.m.  All students must be completely out of their rooms 24 hours after their last final exam.
 

Housing Assignments
Fall 2010 housing assignments will be mailed out the week of August 2 - 6. This housing assignment letter will include the student's Fall 2010 assignment along with the name, address and phone number of the assigned roommate. Our residence halls are expected to be near peak capacity, therefore room changes will not be able to be processed until after the semester begins.
