This process only applies to returning students who currently live in on-campus housing.  Students new to LHUP, along with any others, are housed by the housing office during the month of August. 
 

It is the responsibility of each returning student to follow the below listed procedures to be guaranteed a space in LHUP on-campus residence halls – including Campus Village.
 

 There are three easy to follow steps to the Room Selection Process:

 
Step #1
Pay your housing Deposit

To begin the Room/Apartment Selection Process, a $100.00 housing deposit must be paid.  This deposit may be paid in 2 ways:

1)   Pre-paid before February 13, 2008 by credit card online at LHUP Secure Bill Pay (Pay Your Student Bill Online.  Please select Fall 2008 Housing Deposit from the drop down menu.  Please print the confirmation of payment as you will need to bring it with you to the 2^nd part of the Room/Apartment Selection Process.  Pre-paying online is the preferred method of Housing Deposit payment.

2)   Paid at step #2 of the Room/Apartment Selection Process (February 13^th or 14^th) by cash, check or
money order made payable to LHUP (Housing Deposit). 

Housing deposits will not be accepted after February 14, 2008.

Step #2
Fill out a Housing & Food Service Agreement
&
Choose a Lottery Number

This step in the process takes place on both February 13^th and February 14^th from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. in PUB Meeting Room # 4.  During this step in the process the student will fill out and sign the Housing & Food Service License Agreement, pay the deposit, if they didn't already pay online, and pick a lottery number.  February 13^th is for students with the last number in their student identification number being an even number,  February 14^th is for students with the last number in their student identification number being an odd number.

Step #3
Room Sign-ups

 Lottery numbers picked in Step #2 will determine the room selection time for each day.  When roommates (or one roommate with both agreements) enter the selection room, they will be able to pick from rooms that are not filled or reserved.  If all available rooms are filled in your hall when your lottery number is called on the first selection night, you will be encouraged to return to the second selection day.  When your lottery number is called on the second selection day, you (and your roommate or one roommate with both agreements) will be able to sign-up for any remaining, non-reserved housing spaces.  Sign-ups will continue on the second day until all non-reserved spaces are used. 

February 20th   6 p.m. – 9 p.m.:  Room sign-ups for roommates wanting to stay in their own hall will take place   in PUB, Room #4.  You must have your Housing & Food Service License Agreement with you at that time. 60% of non-reserved spaces in each hall will be available to this group.

February 22nd 9 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.:  Room sign-ups for rooms across campus will be held in PUB meeting room #4.  You must have your Housing and Food Service License Agreement with you at this time.  All remaining non reserved spaces will be available.

 Rules for Step #3 

1.         You must have already paid the $100 Housing Deposit.

2.         You (or person selecting for you) must have yellow copies of the 2008-09 Housing & Food Service License Agreement (Lottery # is located in the right hand corner of Agreement).

3.         In order to choose a room you must have a roommate.  If you do not have a roommate, you may only select a Single
            or a Hall (you will be assigned a room and roommate later).
