Our Students are on the go...from Japan to Morocco to Costa Rica for a semester or a year. IIS offers a variety of study abroad programs. Traditional semester, year-long, summer and short-term programs are available to all students at Lock Haven University. Traditional semester and year-long programs are offered in 21 different countries. Faculty-led Summer and Spring Break programs for 1 to 7 weeks are offered in Italy, London, Mexico, Morocco, Spain Northern Ireland, and London & Paris.
The university also offers student teaching placements for Education majors. LHU student teachers have the opportunity to complete half of their student teaching experience abroad in Spain (more international student teaching programs are being devloped). International Placements are at bilingual schools so students conduct lessons in English. Student teachers must pay $1500 supervisory/placement fee to the IIS before leaving for their placemtn abroad.
