Test dates and material to be covered will be announced in class.
There will be no make-up tests.
There will be no make-up labs.


Calculators are required for lab and tests. A basic scientific calculator will do. That is, a calculator with trig functions, basic statistics, etc.
Homework
Homework is essential to understanding this material.

Some homework will be assigned each class and collected the following class and graded. Some online homework will be assigned. Grading will be automatic. (See the section below on WebAssign.)

Late Homework
Homework is due at the beginning of class on the date it is due. (For example, if it is assigned on Monday, it is due at the beginning of class on Wednesday.) Late homework will result in a penalty of 50% for each day late.


WebAssign
You are required to use an online homework product called WebAssign. To gain access to WebAssign you must purchase a Web Assign access card from the university bookstore. The cost is about $10 per semester.

With WebAssign you will log on to the WebAssign website and access problems assigned by the instructor. Grading will be automatic and immediate for most assignments. Please see the course web page for more details.



Tests
Tests will take the full period. The dates and format will be announced in advance. Tests will be based on homework and in-class notes and examples, and examples from the book.

The tests are closed book. Equation sheets will be provided during exams and will be available for review prior to exams. The specific material covered on a given test will depend on the material covered in class and will be announced before the test.

Final Exam
The final exam date is listed on the course calendar. One half of the final will be cumulative and one half will cover the material since test 3.


Lab
Your lab instructor will cover the logistics of labs and grading.

Calculators are required for lab.
Graph paper is required for lab.

The lowest lab grade will be dropped.
