Course Description:
An intermediate course in Newtonian mechanics with emphasis on mathematical principles and methods. Topics include vector calculus, statics, dynamics, momentum and energy conservation, oscillations, central force motion, and two dimensional rigid body dynamics.
GRADING: Homework 20%
  Tests 60%
  Final Exam 20%

Tests
There will 4 tests during the semester. The 4th test will be a cumulative final exam.
Homework
Homework will be given regularly. Homework is essential to understanding the course mateial. Homework problems will be worth 10 points each, unless otherwise stated by the instructor.
