We left at 8 AM and got back around 9:30 PM.
Drive took about 2.5 hrs.

Stopped at McDonald's on the way out of town.
Had several sleepers on the drive down.  There 
were signs for the Whithack Science Center once
we got into the area.

Museum had it's good points.  Lot's of hands on 
demos.  Many kids having a good time.  The five of
us often hogged a demo while little kids cried to
get a view.  Ones we like especially:  magnetic
filings lying on top a set of electromagnets 
(presumably) and dancing to music, Rube Goldberg 
marble machine, styrofoam balls in acoustic standing 
wave demo, whisper machine (large parabolic dishes 
on opposite ends of the room.

The 3-D IMAX film (Into The Deep) was excellent.  We
spent the 15 minutes prior to the movie entertaining
ouselves with the polarized glasses.

We took a break and tried to find a diner.  Went up 
and back on the same streets about three of four times
before finding a place.  We learned that Andy's senese
of direction is questionable.  Izana forgot his hat, 
he, Nicole and I went back and Nicole quickly spotted
it in the middle of one of the floors.  Grabbed hot
dogs and cheezestakes for a "snack" at Spots.  Spent 
a looong time in the Science Center store - great store.  
We played with everything and compared purchases outside.
Andy spun up his magnetic levitating thing.

We walked up to the capitol and terroized the squirrels,
first Izana and Jeff threw snowballs at them and then 
Nicole tried to feed them gum.

Finished with dinner at nice place.  Ordered much food 
and stuffed ourselves.
