25-Jul-00 Visit to Corning Glass Museum Anura Goonewardene took his PHYS131 summer session class to the Corning Glass Museum. Jim Wheeler, John Reid, Ken Marquardt, and Dan DeLill tagged along. The drive is about 2.5 hrs. The admission is $11.00, but with over 20 people we got a discount to a rate of $6.00 with instructors admitted for free. Museum is excellent! Great displays. Easy to read and hear. Well presented. Interesting. They have a glass blowing demo which is great! When we were there they had a person playing Benjamin Franklin who did a demo show for about a 1/2 hour. It was wonderful!
