Dear Club, Today (Saturday 24-apr-99) Andy, Christine and I worked the children's fair at Thomas Field House. It was a tremendous success!! As you might expect the large soap film bubbles were a huge attraction for kids and adults. If you haven't seen them since the demo show, Andy has made some modifications so that we now consistently get bubbles about 5 ft wide and maybe 8 ft long! He and Christine were able to break off bubbles up to 4 ft diameter. All afternoon long we had a line of kids watching and helping. Some sat in front waiting for the soap film to reach them. We let kids hold the two side strings that control the width of the film and they loved doing it. Many adults asked how it worked and two people have said they will contact me about having the club do some demo shows for them. (One person works at a children's camp and the other person works over at the hospital.) I hope we can bring this and other demos to them. We did have other demos at our table and many people had fun with them. (Jim's little motor, tornado bottle, 3D pictures, etc.) I hope when we do this again we can get more of us there to help. The three of us had a ball, but we were pretty busy, too.
