Hoplita is a predominantly bronze sculpture composed of 25 elements. The underside of the base is molded to hold the head face up, aiding in the disassembly of the sculpture. The brain of Hoplita is a Rubik's cube. I should say "was" a Rubik's cube; I have replaced Hoplita's original brain with the brass Giro-brain of Rocky Chiaro. (The coloration and "plasticity" of the original brain negatively impacted the appeal of the sculpture for me. My sincere apologies to Berrocal.)
