Meeting called to order at 5:00PM

 

 

The budget for next year was approved for a total of $1, 145. We will be appealing the children’s festival money allotment.

 

A motion was made to transfer money from speakers to children’s festival. Second: Corey Finn. All in favor.

 

Dr. Aslam came to speak about the math competition to be help Tuesday, April 21. There will be 39 – 50 students coming. He is looking for about 10 – 12 LHU student to help from 9 -2PM.

 

Pi Day was successful, making this a possible annual event. Profits of $137.26 was put into special accounts.

 

Math competition last weekend was a lot of fun. The LHU team got 6th place!

 

April 3. Sleep out for literacy begins at 4PM. There will be games, activities, food, and fun. Donations of books to be given to the Ross Library will be collected at the next meeting. A motion to donate $25 from our Pi Day proceeds to go to the Ross Library. Second: Chris. All in favor.

 

Autism walk- April 4. Four people have signed up.

 

Children’s Festival – will be lots of fun games and activities. Let Brian know if you are interested in helping out.

 

Knot Theory Conference: July 15 – 17 in Ohio. No registration fee and there is grant money for travel. Overnight stay would be only cost. Let Dr. Pile know if you are interested.

 

Volleyball Night at the Rec. Sign up if interested.

 

Math Banquet: April 25th at Perkins in Lamar. The cost is $25. Let Bryan know if you are interested by the end of the month. We will also be getting Dr. Rosson and Professor Yenner a gift since they will be leaving.

 

Positions in the math club will be open in the fall. Next week we will be accepting nominations.
