Math Club Minutes for September 10, 2009

Played the Toilet Paper Game as an ice breaker.

Possible Activities:

Intramurals: Volleyball (Tuesdays and Thursdays 5-8:30)

Math Softball or Wiffle ball game; we can also reserve a BBQ pit.

Math Scavenger Hunt: Break up into groups of two or three. Then the groups go out with a camera and must take a picture of math related objects that will be provided to the group on a list.

Haunted Math Floor: Decorate the Math Floor for Halloween. We could also do this as a fundraiser.

Math Jeopardy: Have a night where we play Math Jeopardy. The winner gets a prize.

Challenge the Professor Night: We will have a bunch of games and activities and you can challenge the Professor at any game or activity. The PUB game room was suggested for this.

Secret Santa

CLUB FAIR – September 16^th from 11-2 on ivy lane.

Open house & Career night volunteers needed

Possible talks:

Dr. Pile on Intro to Knot Theory

Temple University about traffic patterns, etc.

Introduction to Mathematica
