This box was originally conceived to hold tobacco (or something else) and was designed to contain a cleverly concealed pipe for smoking said tobacco (or something else). The cedar used for this box is not appropriate for a pipe and so this box is simply a very clever two-compartment box with a very clever locking mechanism for each of the compartments. The "pipe" plays a role ... well, once you find it.
