Ichthyology
students of the RV Black Skimmer, Summer 1999

BIOL3-- - Ichthyology (summer;2/3) 3 sh. This course is an
introduction to the study of evolution, taxonomy and morphology
of fishes. Emphasis is placed on biodiversity, morphology, and
conservation of fishes. Lecture topics include the nomenclature,
history and techniques of both ichthyology and fisheries biology.
Laboratory emphasis will be on identification, dissection, and
the techniques used in field collections. PLEASE NOTE: THIS
COURSE IS TAUGHT AT THE MARINE SCIENCE CONSORTIUM IN WALLOPS
ISLAND, VIRGINIA DURING SUMMER SESSION. For more information of
