BIOL3-- - Ichthyology (summer;2/3) 3 sh.
This course is an introduction to the study of evolution, taxonomy and morphology of fishes. Emphasis is placed on biodiversity, morphology, and conservation of fishes. Lecture topics include the nomenclature, history and techniques of both ichthyology and fisheries biology. Laboratory emphasis will be on identification, dissection, and the techniques used in field collections.
