Collaborative Research Projects

1. Choose one of the collaborative research project topics.
2. Conduct an individual literature review of the topic--using library and online resources. Submit an annotated bibliography to Professor Farley and to each of your collaborators.
3. Develop a PowerPoint presentation (a) that (briefly) discusses the origins and nature of the issue and (b) that comprehensively compares and contrasts differing points of view on the issue and the arguments underlying these points of view. Present the Powerpoint presentation to the class and lead a discussion--be sure to have handouts and a short quiz to administer at the end of the class. (Make sure that the quiz discriminates between level of learning, e.g., a question that everyone gets correct or everyone gets wrong is not a useful quiz question.)
4. Develop a very large, high-quality, computer-generated poster that combines text and images reflecting the different points of view on your topic--the poster will be displayed in Raub Hall.
