Research Project: (1) Choose one of the movements listed above. (2) Replicate and assess the work in the file for the selected movement. Evaluate the accuracy and completeness of the work. A preliminary four-page report on this part of the project is due Feb. 10. (3) Reconsider the analytical models used by the author(s) of the work. What alternative interpretations should be considered? (4) Compile an annotated bibliography of the most useful resource materials currently available on the movement. The preliminary write-up on parts 3 and 4 of the project is due on March 3. (5) Interview or communicate (e.g., by e-mail) with at least one resource person who is involved with or who has expertise in the movement. In the final write-up, report how you located your resource person, the nature of the communication, and your assessment of what was learned. (6) Write an update of the current (2005) situation for the movement. A preliminary write-up on parts 5 and 6 is due on April 14. The final eight-page (minimum) paper in which all parts are integrated is due May 3.
