Glenn Tinder, Thinking About Politics: The Perennial Questions.

Assignment:

(A.) Read the first part of the Tinder book (the first twenty-four pages) and answer the following:

    a. What does Tinder mean by "thinking about politics?"

b. What are some of the problems in thinking about politics?

c. How are facts and ideas related?

d. Why is it useful to think seriously about politics?

(B.) Answer each of the thirty (30) questions raised by Tinder following this format for your answers:

    1. What are the main problems or issues in question?

2. How does this question relate to earlier questions raised by Tinder?

3. Which side or position on the question do you hold at this time? Why? Explain fully.

4. What connection do you see between your position on this question and your position on earlier questions? Explain fully.

Note: In order to finish this assignment by the end of the semester, you will need to (on average) answer two questions per week.
