LOCK
HAVEN UNIVERSITY ANNUAL CAMPUS GRANTS
Request For Proposals
(RFP)
Lock Haven University's Annual Campus Grants are designed to provide funds for scholarly
research, the creative and performing arts, the improvement of
teaching and learning, and faculty enhancement.
The faculty enhancement category is relatively new and some
examples of activities which might qualify in this category are: to
attend workshops or short courses which will lead to enrichment of
courses, or development of course material; travel to libraries or
specialized research facilities to gather information for generating/revising lecture
and/or laboratory material; and utilization of an external consultant
to work with faculty on improving particular areas in curriculum.
Please note that this is not intended to
fund attendance at conferences or workshops
that would be funded by Travel Grants.
The dollar maximum for the Annual Grants is $1,500 per
proposal. These grants
are open to all full-time tenure-track faculty.
A copy of the Request for Proposals can be obtained
by clicking on the link above or by contacting
the FPDC chair. We encourage you to have your proposal pre-screened by a
member of the Faculty Professional
Development Committee prior to the deadline.
The annual grants are competitive and only proposals
that
follow the guidelines will be considered for funding.

considered for funding. Full-time
tenure-track faculty may apply for a maximum of $500 and
full-time temporary faculty may apply for a maximum of $250. Travel to discipline related
workshops which provide new knowledge and/or skills specifically

Workshops for certification credit or licensure do not
apply. Information on the
policies for this grant can be obtained by clicking on the
Policies link above or from the FPDC
chair. You may apply for a small campus research grant
at any time until the deadline.
