The Reserve area is located behind the circulation desk on the main floor of the library. It contains the library materials that faculty members have designated as required reading and have placed in the library to be read by the student. Because this material is in constant demand, circulation has to be restricted. The Reserve area also has books of general interest that have limited or restricted access. To be able to use any materials from the Reserve area, a valid student I.D. card is necessary. There are no exceptions to this regulation.
Committee minutes for all University departments and organizations are filed here as well as special computer and environmental collections. There are also minutes for various bodies of the State System of Higher Education. All of these materials must be used in the library for a period of two hours. You may make copies of these materials. The cost for copying is currently 10 cents per page.
Certain reserve materials are available through ERes, the Library’s online electronic reserves system. ERes may only be accessed by students, faculty, and staff of Lock Haven University. Currently, Adobe Acrobat software is required to view documents placed on ERes.
