Computers, Copiers, Printers, and Other Technology Issues
4.1 Where are the copy machines? Does it cost money to make a copy?
A copy machine can be found in the 24 Hour Study Area.
Copies cost 10 cents a page.
4.2 Can I type a paper in the library? Make a PowerPoint presentation? Check e-mail?
Yes, you can. Go to computer lab on the ground floor. The computers on the main floor are intended for database searching and other research-related activities.
4.3 Do you sell floppy disks?
No. The library is strictly BYOD (bring your own disk).
4.4 Does the library have wireless access?
Yes. Wireless access can be found on the first floor in the 24 Hour Study Area and in the Reference Area, in the Children's Library on the ground floor, and in the study areas by the front windows on the 2nd and 3rd floors. If you need assistance in connecting to the hub, please contact Bernadette Heiney.
4.5 Do you have color copiers or printers? Yes, there is a color printer available for students to use in the Media Services Area on the ground floor.
4.6 How do I access the library databases from off-campus?
Currently enrolled students, faculty, and staff can access most databases from off-campus. Simply type in your Lock Haven ID number at the prompt.
Please note that community patron cards do not permit off-campus access to databases.

. 4.7 Does the library have a fax machine I can use?
No, the library does not have a fax machine for public use. You may use the fax machine in the business office of the PUB.
4.8 Does the library have scanners/ poster printers/ audio or video equipment?
The library has a wide array of technology for use. Scanners are located in the Media Services Area on the ground floor. Other equipment is also located in the media center.
4.9 I have to watch a video/ listen to a CD for class. Where do I go?
Go to the Media Center, which is on the bottom floor of the library. Visit our virtual tour for more information.
4.10 Can I check my e-mail in the library?
Yes, in the computing lab on the ground floor.
4.11 I can’t get my e-mail account to work. What do I do?
The librarians will be happy to assist you. However, if the problem is serious, you will need to see the friendly computing center people. They are located on the fifth floor of Robinson and can take care of all your computing questions.
