America : History and Life. It is a bibliographic reference to the history of the United States and Canada from prehistory to the present. The database comprises over 490,000 bibliographic entries for periodicals dating back to 1954, providing an incomparable research tool. The database also includes citations to abstracts of dissertations published in these areas. Each entry in the database is assigned appropriate indexing terms based on standard authorities, enabling users to find exactly the sources they require (see About the Database by Mary Bagne, managing editor of America: History and Life).
CountryWatch. This database provides country information to large media audiences. Publications produced by CountryWatchinclude the CountryReviews TM, an up-to-date series of publications for each country including demographic, political, economic, business, cultural and environmental information; the CountryWire TM, which provides daily news coverage for every country in the world and a significant news archive (see CountryWatch home page).
ERIC. This abbreviation stands for the Educational Resource Information Center which provides access to education literature and resources. The database gives full text of more than 2,200 digests along with references for additional information and citations and abstracts from over 1,000 educational and education-related journals (see Database Help)
Gender Watch. It is a full text database of diverse publications that focus on how gender impacts a broad spectrum of subject areas. Publications include scholarly journals, magazines, newspapers, newsletters, regional publications, books, and NGO, government and special reports (see Gender Watch home page).
Mental Measurements Yearbook . Produced by the Buros Institute at the University of Nebraska, this database provides users with a comprehensive guide to over 2,000 contemporary testing instruments. It contains information essential for a complete evaluation of test products within such diverse areas as psychology, education, business, and leadership (see Database Help).
Polling the Nations. This database is a compilation of more than 14,000 surveys conducted by more than 700 polling organizations in the United States and more than 80 other countries from 1986 to the present. Each of the nearly 350,000 records reports a question asked and the responses given. All the surveys reported here were conducted using scientifically selected random samples (See Database Help).
