Welcome to the Stevenson Library Guide to Contemporary Issues in Leadership!
Stevenson Library has an enormous amount of resources in the field of leadership. But because these resources exist under a variety of subjects (psychology, sociology, gender studies, biography, history), it is not a simple matter of searching “leadership” in the library's online catalog, PILOT. The following list of resources is just a small portion of what Stevenson Library has in this broad area of research.
In addition to our books, a variety of databases can be consulted. ERIC is great for issues of leadership as it related to education, PsycINFO and PsycARTICLES for the psychological aspects of leadership, SocINDEX for the sociological aspects of leadership, GenderWatch for issues of leadership as it relates to the differences between the sexes, SportDiscus for articles on leadership related to sports, and Business Source Premiere for articles on leadership as it relates to business, money, and economics. Beyond these topics, Stevenson Library has a very large amount of biographical portraits, many of which would make excellent studies in leadership.
Use the menu at the left to navigate the site, which includes a list of relevant LC call numbers; Reference books such as encyclopedias and manuals; Databases of journal articles; and a selection of websites.
