For this assignment, you will need to locate research materials published in magazines and newspapers, and you'll need to know how to locate relevant materials using periodicals databases. You may also want to locate a one of the books in the Opposing Viewpoints series, using the Library Catalog (PILOT).

The library catalog is the database you use to find books, as well as other library materials, such as media materials held by Stevenson Library.

Since EBSCOhost's Academic Search Complete and Academic OneFile
cover a wide variety of topics, it's a good place to begin doing research using periodicals.

Newspapers

Newspaper sources provide quick, late-breaking information about newsworthy items and events, including media events. They are sources for political, social, and public commentary. For this research project, you may want to note the biases, reasonings and inferences of the opinions expressed by the reviewer.
