| Guide for Off-Campus Access to Library-Licensed Databases and E-Journals |
While the LHU Libraries' Catalog and a number of other resources available on the library Web site at http://www.lhup.edu/library/home.htm are freely available to anyone connected to the Internet, most research databases and E-Journals are governed by licenses which limit access to these from outside the Libraries to current LHU students, faculty, and staff.
What You Will Need:
- Your LHUP user name
- example - gjetson
- Your LHUP password
- The password that you use to log-on to your LHUP email account or LHU lab computer
What Happens Next:
From any database link, just click on the database that you want to use. All databases available from off campus have specialized links, allowing you to gain off-campus access. Most databases are available off-campus, a few are not.
When you click on the database link, you will be redirected to the Keystone Library Network Pass page. You will be asked for your last name and LHU ID number OR for your LHU username and LHU password. Choose only one OR the other.

Click Login and you will immediately be directed to the chosen database.
If you are having problems with accessing licensed databases and e-journals from an off-campus location, please contact Ms. Bernadette Heiney at 570.484.2545 or by e-mailing bheiney@lhup.edu
Please be prepared to describe exactly what happened and any error messages that you received.
