Course Description:
CRJS260 Criminal Law: 3 credits
Focuses on substantive criminal law. Elements of a crime; parties to a crime; types of offenses; and scope, purpose and definitions of criminal offenses are critically analyzed. The elements of creative problem solving are applied to problems in the field. There is an emphasis on ethical decision making by participants in this part of the system. The general principles of substantive law are studies through the analysis of appeals court decisions.
Prerequisite: CRJS102
or permission of the instructor.
